Visitor address
The cemetery is not on an urban street frontage. It lies in forest compartment 135, east of Havelchaussee behind the Saubucht forest office by Schildhornweg.
By public transport
Bus 218 serves Havelweg stop. The district office gives the remaining distance as about 0.5 kilometres. Check the connection on the day and allow for the woodland walk.
The final approach to the gate
The interactive map marks two wooden “Zum Friedhof” guideposts. They lead from Schildhornweg to the only precisely mapped gate. The complete map sweep found no second visitor entrance.
Parking
The official cemetery information does not identify a dedicated visitor car park. The approach is a woodland path, so do not plan on parking directly by the entrance and observe local traffic and forestry signs.
Avoid confusion
This is Grunewald-Forst Cemetery on Havelchaussee. The larger Friedhof Grunewald is a different site near Halensee.
